Hi I am Serena Ammendola!

Junior Front-end Developer, based in Ireland.

Hi! I’m Serena. I’m originally from Italy but now living in Dublin, Ireland. I’m a Junior Front-End Developer who made a big career switch. While working full-time as a receptionist, I stumbled across SheCodes Workshops, and that’s where my curiosity for coding really started.

I decided to dive in and learn the basics of front-end development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and got comfortable using tools like VSCode and GitHub. From there, I kept pushing myself, picking up skills in React, Bootstrap, working with APIs, exploring AI, and making sure my projects were responsive and user-friendly. I love creating things that not only work well but look great too.

Now, I’m ready to take the leap and start my next chapter in the tech world. Coming from a different career, I bring a lot with me: the ability to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds, staying organized, collaborating with teams, and, as my coworkers often say, being a friendly and supportive person to work with.

I’m so excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
